“The recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery have sparked powerful protests in communities across our country and throughout the world. These protests have reignited much needed attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. We, both individually and as a society, need to recognize the debilitating and enduring injustices that systematic racism has caused and commit to rooting it out.
Those of us who have not directly been marginalized or brutalized because of the color of our skin cannot remain silent. We have again seen, heard, and experienced the lack of humanity people of color have endured. We must commit to not let this moment pass without action.
Mobile Beacon stands with people of color and those fighting to end discrimination and racism. For the last ten years, we have broken down barriers to access to provide equal educational and digital opportunities to all Americans through our broadband service.
